Jennifer Long

Jennifer Long is a founding partner at Long Shariff & Associates. Prior to this she was the Managing Partner at Still McCalmont Long in Markham, and has been practicing family law almost exclusively since 2004 when she was admitted Barrister & Solicitor in Ontario.

Jennifer primarily focuses her practice on resolving matrimonial disputes in a family and child-focused manner outside of the traditional adversarial court system. Jennifer believes that court should be an absolute last resort and will work hard to assist in resolving disputes in a way that maintains the integrity and respect of the family unit. As such, Jennifer prefers to represent clients through negotiations, mediations and collaborative family law. Jennifer has extensive experience negotiating and drafting separation agreements, and resolving disputes in a creative and practical manner. Ms. Long is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Family Lawyers’ Association, the York Regional Law Society and Collaborative Practice Toronto (CPT).

In her spare time, Ms. Long enjoys spending time with her family at home, exercising and reading.
